Sin embargo, el término politically correct se emplea también de forma irónica por las personas que se burlan de este tipo de lenguaje y actitudes por considerarlas excesivas. Entre las expresiones políticamente correctas, algunas de las más conocidas son: Native American en vez de Red Indian (indio americano), visually impaired en vez de blind (ciego) y vertically challenged en vez de short (bajo).•
